Business Is About Human Relationships
Over four years ago, I made the decision to venture out on my own in the business world. Since then, I haven’t stopped creating meaningful encounters with clients, collaborators, and friends. The reason is simple: doing it alone is impossible. We’re social creatures inside and outside of work.
In today’s professional world, trust, transparency, and long-term relationships matter more than ever. It's about building a foundation for genuine connection. And that kind of authenticity doesn’t come through a PowerPoint presentation, a website, or even a LinkedIn profile. Breaking through that barrier and starting a real relationship takes time, and in the rush of everyday life, building trust can feel out of reach.
The best way to fast-track this process? Don’t do it alone. Surround yourself with a collaborative environment, people who share common values and goals. Most importantly, people you can trust, lean on and can be certain they won’t let you down.
If you're starting a similar journey, don’t hesitate to ask for help. Speak up. Seek out the “invisible arms” that will amplify your reach, open doors, and help you build credibility even before you walk into the room.
Avoid misunderstood egos, time-wasters, or opportunists - yes, they’re out there. But also learn early on to recognize those rare people who, to borrow from Benedetti, live by this principle:
“If I do things for you, it’s not to make you love me, it’s so you know that I love you.”
